Coal Creek Community Park and Museum - FREE ENTRY and unlimited fun for the whole family. Come along and ride the bush tramway, buy some old fashioned lollies from the general store, and feed the ducks in the lake. While you're here drop in and have a look at our Community Gallery, and be sure to talk to our volunteers for their knowledge of local history. Come on one of our scary Ghost Tours and see the village at night. Think of Coal Creek for your wedding, or for a special event with the family.

Coal Creek offers a wide range of facilities to ensure visitors have a comfortable and enjoyable visit.

Maps of the park can be found at the front entrance or general store, and highlight your nearest facilities. A printable copy of our map can be downloaded by clicking here.

If you require any assistance or directions, please ask a member of staff who will be happy to help you.


Free car parking is available for all visitors, including coaches and motor homes. Accessible parking is available near the front entrance of the car park.


Toilet facilities can be found in all areas of the museum. For information on all of our Accessible Toilet facilities please refer to our map.

Baby Changing

There are baby changing facilities at the entrance building and the Railway Museum.

Retail Outlets

The Coal Creek Gift Shop can be found at the entrance building; it offers a wide variety of souvenirs, books, gifts, cold drinks and snacks.

Devlin's General Store is one of Victoria's finest displays and demonstrations of yesteryear and well worth a special visit. Wander through the store to find handmade sweets, from 50 cents, and a large variety of gifts and souvenirs.

Dogs at Coal Creek

For the safety and comfort of all Coal Creeks patrons and the animals on site , dogs are not permitted on Coal Creeks premises..

Exemptions will apply to:

a) guide dogs for hearing-impaired and vision-impaired visitors;

b) accredited and trained assistance dogs wearing a jacket identifying the dog as a trained assistance dog and secured by a harness or leash and under the control of the owner at all times whilst on Coal Creek premises; the owner of an assistance dog will be asked to show an appropriate photo ID card identifying they are the owner/handler of the assistance dog;

d) dogs engaged in an approved interactive demonstrations only and under the control of a handler at all times .
